Proxy Server Settings for Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator

 

Ignore this if you belong to any one of the following departments:

 

Health Science, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Geography, English, Instrumentation, ISSC, Library, Physics, Microbiology, Statistics,  Udms

 
                                                

   

  A. Proxy settings for Internet Explorer:

     
1.    Start the Internet Explorer.
2.   In the upper task bar click on "tools" and then on
     "Internet options".
3.   In the upper task bar click on "connections"
     button.
4.   Click on "LAN Settings" button.
5.   Click in the box for "Use a proxy server"
6.   Do following settings here :
   
Address :
196.1.114.240  
 
Port :
2222 
7.   Click in the box for "bypass proxy server for local
    addresses".
8.   Click on "OK" button twice and you can continue
    browsing.

B. Proxy settings for Netscape Navigator

     
  1.   Start the Netscape Navigator.
  2.   In the upper task bar, click on "Edit" and then click on "Preferences".
  3.   This will open a new window. Click on "Advanced" and then on "Proxies"
  4.   In the right window click in the box for "Manual Proxy Configuration" and then click on "View" button.
  5.   Do following settings:

2222
   
  SSL Proxy:

   Port:
2222
   
  FTP Proxy:

  6.   Click on "OK" twice and you can continue browsing.
