The Department of Atmospheric and Space Sciences is one of the leading departments in the country in the area of Atmospheric Science.  The Department offers an M.Tech. degree in Atmospheric Science.  The department is internationally known as the students have gone to several countries like the USA, U.K., Germany, Norway, Belgium, Canada, Ireland etc. for research.   The department is very young as it has only recently separated from its parent department of Physics and now conducts its activities both in the Physics building and in the Publication complex.  The department has a strong in research program the areas of both Atmospheric and Space Sciences.
